1d20 quests in the city of Nura

  1. The local guard asks the party to keep an eye out for smugglers. The guard believes that smugglers are trying to come in at the old castle gate.
  2. The party is asked to watch a local temple, a very holy place, because there have been reports of some strange goings on. A man has started wandering the streets in the middle of the night. People report that he is talking in tongues.
  3. The local church has been under the watchful eye of a demon. For weeks they can feel its presence on the premises and see strange creatures moving around during the night.
  4. A traveler has found the body of a dead rhesus monkey, which died because its belly had been slit open. It may have been the work of the dreaded „Monkey Murderers“
  5. A local street singer appears to be a doppleganger for a known celebrity, and is asked to perform a song. He is unable to do it.
  6. The owner of the inn is attacked by a wild animal in the middle of the night, but everyone else says it was just a chicken.
  7. A mysterious woman shows up to the town gate, and threatens a local with death unless he takes her to the castle. She wants his help. The townspeople think she’s crazy.
  8. At the local inn, a man with strange burns on his skin, is complaining that he has no money and nothing to eat. He has strange marks on his chest, one of which appears to be a bottle.
  9. A merchant from a long time ago is seen in the tavern. He is a very old man, but appears very spry. He is very eager to give a party a discount on a potion.
  10. The city’s resident artist is on strike. His art is being turned upside down by the patrons. This is causing an uproar in the streets.
  11. An old blind man has been stabbed. He is bleeding everywhere and dying. His last words are „She smelled like vanilla“
  12. A drunken thug had been beating his wife. He approaches the party for help in his relationship.
  13. There is a fire in the middle of the small market town, and there appears to be some strange people around it.
  14. Someone has turned the city’s water supply to wine, and now everyone and their neighbor is quaffing and passing out. An old witch tells the party that someone has been stealing people’s souls and making them drunk.
  15. All of the city’s dogs have started barking in the dead of the night.
  16. A couple is having sex on the balcony of their home, and the noise is disturbing some of the neighbors, making them want to break in.
  17. An alchemist that has had a run of bad luck has sent a letter to the city describing the dire situation of his business. He is willing to sell any goods that he has left to the highest bidder.
  18. The man found in a field near town has been killed and drained of blood. A young boy claims to know who did it.
  19. Several of the city’s merchants have started selling off their inventories as though they had suddenly started loosing their mind. All their prices are randomly very high or low.
  20. A small group of pilgrims were accompanied by a giant. Half of the people that saw the pilgrims are adamant that there was no giant and that he must be a hallucination.
